OVER 25 YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE

HD53 deserves steady leadership focused on public safety, responsible budgeting, and protecting Montana families.

I’m running to bring real-world experience and accountability to Helena.

About Troy

Troy Charbonneau has spent more than 25 years serving the people of Yellowstone County in public safety. Over the course of his career, Troy worked more than two decades in law enforcement, including over 14 years as a detective investigating serious and violent crimes, including crimes against children. His work in law enforcement focused on protecting vulnerable victims, holding offenders accountable, and supporting families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Today, Troy continues serving his community on the front lines as a paramedic with Laurel Emergency Medical Services. Responding to emergency calls across the region, he sees firsthand the challenges facing rural healthcare, emergency responders, and working families in Montana.

Through decades of service in both law enforcement and emergency medicine, Troy has developed a practical understanding of how government decisions affect public safety, healthcare access, and community resources. He believes Montana needs leaders in Helena who bring real-world experience, common sense, and a commitment to accountability.

In addition to his professional service, Troy has been active in community leadership and local initiatives focused on strengthening emergency services and supporting first responders. He has helped lead efforts to modernize EMS equipment and ensure local ambulance services have the resources needed to respond when people call for help.

Troy is running for Montana House District 53 to bring steady leadership, real public safety experience, and practical solutions to Helena. His priorities include strengthening public safety, protecting and improving emergency medical services, lowering property taxes, and ensuring state government remains accountable to the people it serves.

Troy lives in Yellowstone County and remains deeply committed to the community he has served throughout his career.
